Day One! First we went to Barnes and Noble, where we read MANY books - two books about Bambi, a Barbie book, and some Berenstein Bears stories. Hm, does Eliza like the letter B? We also put on some funny glasses and checked out a 3D book about sharks. The glasses gave Aunty Christy a headache but Eliza loved the scary shark pictures!

Then we walked around Kahala Mall since Grandma said Eliza enjoys window shopping.

Next, we went to the Post Office to pick up some mail for Uncle Scott. That was not exciting because the line was very very very long. But then, Eliza met a friend just about her age, and they made so much noise comparing how tall they were that a nice lady behind the counter let Aunty Christy cut in front of about 8 people in line so that we could finish our business and take one of the noisy little girls home. Cool!

After that, Eliza wanted to "preview" her swimming class, so we went to Manoa Marketplace and ate a quick lunch and then visited the pool at St. Francis school. Eliza met her teacher, Aunty Sophia, and she was soooo excited that she wanted to stay there until her lesson, but it was only 12:30 and her lesson was not going to start for another 3 hours so Aunty Christy suggested coming home and playing with Kona for awhile instead of sitting ... and sitting ... and sitting next to the pool.

Eliza and Kona went for a walk outside and Kona left a nice present on the Cat Lady's grass, but Aunty Christy picked it up right away because that's what good neighbors do. Then, Eliza and Kona sat together and read "Momotaro" on the couch until it was time to go swimming.

Eliza was SO HAPPY that it was finally time for swimming! She jumped right in and learned how to make big circle pizzas and SLICE them in the water. And she learned how to do arm paddles! She also learned not to spout water out of her mouth like a fountain because the swimming teachers don't like that. She was a little bit sad when swimming was over but maybe she and Aunty Christy will go to the Manoa Pool tomorrow and Eliza can practice making more pizza circles in the water.
